About Suntreat

Our Story

Suntreat has been in business for 60 years, since founding brothers Harry and John Griffith left Kansas looking for work following the Great Depression. In the years that followed, they acquired farms, built a nursery and Suntreat. In  2015, Suntreat was acquired by Agriculture Capital and became a part of the AC Foods Family which comprises a portfolio of consumer driven, vertically integrated, appropriately scaled and regenerative businesses that support the planet and communities in which they operate.

The acquisition helped Suntreat expand and invest in its state-of-the-art packing facility which has the ability to run oranges, mandarins, lemons, grapefruit, pomegranate and stone fruit. Through the use of computer and  barcode tracking, all fruit can be traced from the day it was picked in the field to arrival at its destination. As a part of the AC Foods portfolio, Suntreat continues to pack fruit all along the historical citrus belt of the Central Valley and is committed to selling the highest quality citrus.
